Website Design & SEO Have Become One

Googles New Algorithm Changes - Website Design & SEO Are Now OneWant to increase your website traffic & sales? This is a must read…

The days of strictly focusing on a website’s ranking with the major search engines and ignoring your website appearance, visitor path, calls to action and other features are over. The same is true of creating a well designed and stunning website and expecting people to flock to it.

This has actually been the case for a long time… but now more than ever. Google has made significant recent changes to their search algorithm. Many high ranking websites have lost position and will continue to do so.

In order to achieve exceptional Internet marketing success, it is critical to give equal weight to a site’s appearance and its performance with the major search engines, Google especially. Top-quality search engine optimization (SEO), and website design are equally important and now go hand in hand. If you overlook one, you pretty much render the other one useless. Learn more about this important topic below:

Website Design for Visitor Engagement

Design is much more than just how your website looks. Google is now using the amount of time someone spends on your website, as well as user engagement to help rank your website for search positions. If someone comes to your site and “clicks” away quickly, Google looks at that as an indicator your site is not relevant to the user search. Thus, moving your site down in search position and, moving sites up that have good visitor engagement & time onsite. This is not the only indicator Google looks at by far, but is one.

Do you like spending time on websites that are poorly designed, unattractive & difficult to navigate? If you’re like most people, you probably don’t. Why waste your time on a site that does not give you what you are looking for when there are so many stunning, easy-to-navigate, compelling & informative sites out there?

Overlooking the appearance, navigation, calls to action & other visitor engagement areas of your website are some of the biggest mistakes we see made. Most of the time these items are innocently overlooked. It is totally possible for a web design company to create a site honestly thinking they are giving you a sales & SEO optimized site… and not be.

It is important to create a website (or adjust the one you have) that is not only pleasing to the eye, but is easy to navigate, engages your visitors, creates the action you want the visitor to take, and most importantly; gives you the targeted traffic/lead/sales results you want.

The design company needs to have a solid grasp on visual design, visitor engagement, conversion optimization, and SEO for Googles recent expectations. Most do not.  There is simply no substitute for a “marketing & SEO educated” website.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

If you want your website to be successful and haven’t implemented an SEO strategy yet, you are missing out on a lot of business. When handled properly, search engine optimization can result in a steady stream of highly targeted traffic to your website.

The world of SEO is changing constantly, so it’s critical to hire a firm that keeps its finger on the pulse of new search engine algorithms and other factors. Many SEO techniques used today are outdated (in the last 6 months) and can actually hurt your website.

In addition to that, search engine optimization has to be an ongoing process if it’s going to produce consistent, long-term results. Most website design firms do not build SEO into the sites they build, or they mistakenly build in SEO that does not help.

Why Website Design & SEO are Equally Important

The search engines are now wanting to see user engagement and time spent on your site. Design has everything to do with this. Your site design is the foundation of a good SEO program. It’s now a must. Not only to begin a solid SEO program, but to optimize your sales or lead generation.

However, sinking all of your marketing money into the design of your website will leave you with no money to pay for top-notch SEO services. Similarly, spending all of your marketing funds on search engine optimization will leave you with a poorly designed site.

Great search engine optimization will draw people to your site, but they won’t stick around if it has a confusing reader path, too many undefined options, poor or no calls to action, no clear objectives, or is difficult to navigate.

Likewise, having a gorgeous, well-designed website doesn’t mean that people will be able to find it in searches. “Building it will not make them come”, in other words.

Website Design and SEO: A One-Two Internet Marketing Punch

From the standpoint of Internet marketing, the only way to get solid resuilts is to engage in ongoing search engine optimization, and develop a strategically designed website. Favoring one approach over the other will get you nowhere. When used in concert, however, you will increase your sales, opt ins & lead generation .

Carefully executed search engine optimization will pull your site up to the top of the Google rankings, which will draw a steady stream of targeted traffic to your site.

Upon arriving and being greeted with a visually pleasing, easy-to-use and sales optimized site, those people will be more likely to stick around and do business with you. Then, Google sees good visitor engagement and gives you a better ranking.

Increase Sales and Conversions

The primary goal of virtually any business website is to generate sales. To do that successfully, you have to attract the right people to your site. To convert them into customers, your site has to be easy to use and “sales optimized” designed.

When SEO and website design are used in concert, your sales and conversions are sure to increase and your efforts will be rewarded with great return on investment.

The trick to doing this is to hire a successful and experienced search engine optimization and web design firm. Ideally, a single company should handle both matters for you. We see sites built by design only companies every week that look good, but are not doing well in searches & SEO. And, will never do well the way they are set up.

Even though the designers state the site was built for SEO, most designers are unaware of what really works with SEO. Therefore, they accidentally make mistakes that cause poor SEO performance.

It Pays You Back

It pays to hire a single, reputable Internet marketing company to handle the design and search engine optimization of your website. By doing that, your site will be designed with good search engine optimization techniques in mind. At the same time, its overall design will appeal to both: search engine robots and real human beings.

When that happens, you will see your conversion rates and sales increase. The process may take some time, but you’re sure to find that it is more than worth it in the long run.

It may also be possible to make some simple changes with your existing website and accomplish these goals. We have clients that come to us with existing websites that just need some “tweaking” to begin getting increased traffic & sales.

Internet Marketing: The Vital Basics

Many business owners are misled to think that internet marketing is simply a matter of creating a basic website, hooking up Facebook & Twitter, sending a few emails, making a few blog posts, and agreeing to pay someone calling you on the phone stating “I can get you a #1 spot on Google”. Sorry… think again.

These days, you can’t hope to compete online (and won’t) without executing a well planned internet marketing campaign. Without brushing up on these basics, you could easily waste a great deal of time, effort and money. While online marketing campaigns vary considerably and have more aspects than those listed below, the most profitable ones include all of the following strategies:

Search Engine Optimization – SEO

Of all of the internet marketing strategies that you’ll read & hear about, search engine optimization is critical. The ultimate goal of your online marketing campaign is to increase sales and conversions. To achieve that, you need to bring as much targeted traffic to your website as possible. No targeted, relevant traffic… no sales. You can’t hope to get that traffic without optimizing your site. SEO is typically the backbone of any successful online marketing campaign. SEO has to be done correctly… planned & targeted. Using only acceptable techniques. And when it is, you will see more targeted traffic. However, it is possible to have #1 keyword positions that get you tons of relevant traffic… and your sales still be low.

Landing Page Optimization

Landing pages are an integral part of any successful online marketing campaign. They should never be hastily thrown together. While you can always study up on creating high-quality, high-conversion landing pages, it’s a lot quicker, easier and more reliable to let a seasoned Boise Internet marketing consultant create them for you. In professional hands, these landing pages will start going to work for you right away. We can also A-B split & multi-variate test them for even higher conversion. Why work to run a ton of traffic to your website if your site or pages do not convert?

Google Adwords PPC

Google sells Adwords as a “do it yourself” program. It’s really not. Logging into Google Adwords is similar to climbing into the cockpit of a 747. There are many controls… all of which need to be set properly or you will not fly well. I frequently speak with business owners that have spent a bunch of money on Adwords without much return. They feel it doesn’t work as a result. If this has happened to you, don’t feel bad. It’s not as easy as you were told. Google Adwords can be incredibly profitable (for you & not just Google) if your campaigns, ads & landing pages are set up and managed properly. To accomplish this, you either need to spend the time to get proper training, or hire an Adwords professional. Your best bet for good ROI, is to hire a proven professional.

Content Marketing

No matter what types of products or services you are selling, you should use high-quality content to market them. When it comes to online marketing, content reigns supreme. A talented Boise Internet marketing consultant can help you develop a steady stream of optimized, high-quality content. Your consultant can submit articles, guest blog posts and other types of content to sites across the internet. We can also help you plan, write and SEO optimize monthly blog posts. In turn, you’ll develop a robust array of relevant incoming links that will enhance your site’s ranking with the major search engines. Thus helping to increase your relevant traffic… and sales.

Email Marketing

Out of all of the internet marketing strategies that you’ll encounter, email marketing is an oldie but a goody. Engaging in an effective email marketing campaign is easier said than done,  which is why it’s important to have professional guidance. If you’re not careful, your email marketing campaign could cause more harm than good. When done properly though, it can reinforce all of the steps that you’ve already taken and tie your internet marketing campaign together.

Social Media

You can enhance your existing Internet marketing strategies by incorporating social media into your campaign. Today’s most popular social media sites are free and easy to use. In many industries, it is very profitable to be actively involved in at least Facebook and Twitter. They can be used to share links to your site, interact with existing and prospective customers and to generate word of mouth. The right Boise internet marketing consultant will be well-versed in making effective use of social media and will be able to integrate it into your internet marketing campaign.

Effective Internet Marketing Never Ends

Finally, there’s no finish line when it comes to running an effective online marketing campaign. We’ve all heard there is no standing still. You are either moving forward or backward. As competitive as internet marketing is, it’s easy to backslide if you aren’t diligent about engaging in an ongoing campaign. In fact, ongoing marketing will more than likely result in higher and higher levels of online visibility. Greater visibility typically results in increased conversions and sales. Proper planning and persistence are an indispensable part of any online marketing campaign, and your efforts are sure to be rewarded by increased sales, ROI and levels of success.

Landing Page Optimization: 5 Killer Tips

Are you making the most of your website landing pages? If you’re like most other business owners, you probably aren’t. As simple as a landing page may seem, there’s a definite science to creating one that will actually improve your conversions and enhance sales. That being said, there’s no need to reinvent the wheel here.

By keeping the following five internet marketing tips in mind, you can create website landing pages that produce incredible results. If you’re interested in increasing website sales, these five easy steps are sure to help:

1. Use Bold Headlines & Be Convincing in Your Content

If the content of your site is flowery, wishy-washy or simply not authoritative, a visitor has no reason to stick around. Right from the get-go, you have to show prospective customers that you are credible. You have to respect their time. The language that you use is extremely important. Each sentence should make the reader want to read the next. Talk to your reader as if he is sitting across the table. Avoid fluff and empty words. Stick with action-oriented language that takes the reader by the hand and pulls them right along. Use verbs willingly. Also, be sure to use “signs of trust” (BBB emblem, certifications, testimonials, etc.)

2. Immediately Address Pressing Concerns

A person can click away from your site immediately after landing on it. He’s a lot less likely to do so when you immediately address two important concerns: “What is this website” and “What’s in it for me?” This is no time to be mysterious. You should immediately make it clear what the site is all about. Otherwise, you’ll be wasting your visitors’ time. You also need to quickly touch upon what’s in it for them. Why should they hear you out? This is very important throughout your landing page but especially true “above the fold” (the top half of your page immediately visible when the page loads.)

3. Explain How You Stand Apart from the Competition

No matter what type of product or service you’re selling, you face plenty of competition. The people who visit your site know that they have options, so you have to clearly and concisely explain why you are different from the rest. This is your USP- Unique Selling Proposition (or points). Define these points and communicate them. Without addressing this issue, you are certain to lose a ton of business as people move along to other options.

4. Keep it Simple

Resist the urge to make the website landing page too complex or confusing. You may be tempted to cram as much information onto it as possible, but that’s not what a landing page is all about. All of that information looks like a lot of work to navigate, and people don’t want to jump through hoops in order to get what they need. As soon as they arrive on the page, your visitors should be given clear instructions on how to proceed. The instructions should not be complicated. They should reassure a visitor that getting your product or service is as simple as can be. If you do need to place an abundance of information (sales copy), break it up & use compelling headlines along the way. Then, be sure to add your calls to action strategically placed along the way. Oh, and write at a 3rd grade comprehension level using 12-14pt font.

5. Include a Great Call to Action

This may be obvious to anyone who knows about internet marketing, but it bears repetition: You need to create a compelling call to action(s) and include them within & at the end of every landing page. Define your objective for the page. Is it to get an opt in for a free report? Get the prospect to call? To request more information? Then, ask for it. If you are asking for information from your prospect, ask for as little as possible… only what’s needed. Create a good call to action. If your page goes out with a whimper, visitors won’t feel compelled to do much of anything, and increasing website sales will be a pipe dream. If it wraps up with an exciting call to action, it will produce amazing results. That’s especially true when you design the rest of the page following the tips above. These tried-and-true landing page & internet marketing strategies are sure to help you increase conversions & sales.

Increasing Your Sales… Crucial Basics

Whether you are selling products or services on the internet, in your brick & mortar store, or providing a service in your customers home. There are four psychological “Levels” your prospects must pass through before they decide to buy from you. We all do it… every time before we buy.

Nail down these 4 psychological buying levels in your marketing and you will definitely see an increase in sales.

Here are the Levels:

1. Your prospect “raises his hand” because you said or did something that really grabbed  his/her curiosity. You connected with him/her in a way that leads them to want to hear more. You hit a “hot button”.

2. Your prospect learns more about you, your company and products. He comes to feel that yes, you folks know your stuff. You’ve created a sense of “Authority”.

3. Your prospect shares his personal situation. He needs to get to a place where he feels you really understand him. You gain their trust.

4. You make a recommendation and close the deal.

These four levels are just reality. It doesn’t matter what you sell, your prospect must pass through each of these Levels – in order. If you sell coffee it may take a minute. If you sell real estate, it may take much longer. But they MUST ALWAYS pass through these Levels.

A common marketing mistake…

The key to understand here is do not jump to recommending -a level 4 activity- until your prospect has passed through Levels 2 and 3. This is a common mistake. Refuse to talk about your product before they’ve passed through Levels 2 and 3. And when you do this, your sales will increase.

Slow down and walk them through the process. Check all of your sales systems & procedures to see if you leading your prospects through this natural sequence.

An exception… Sometimes.

There is one exception where your prospect does not necessarily need to be led through all 4 Levels. Or, it is much easier to do so. That is AFTER your prospect has become your customer… when they have bought from you and are happy with their purchase.

Studies show that your happy customers will buy from you much more readily than when they were a prospect. They want to buy again from someone they’ve already trusted once successfully. In many cases you are safe leading them right to Level 4.

Do you have “add on” offers in your sales check out process? Packages to choose from at different price points? Do you keep in regular (monthly) contact with your customers & offer them valuable info or other products? Coupons, discounts or special offers?

Your customers are also wanting to tell others about how you made them happy… especially when they are given a reason to do so. They want to be your raving fans. Are you creating raving fans? Do you have a referral program? Are you communicating it every time you interact with your customer?

If you answered no to any of the questions above, Ladies & Gents… you are leaving A LOT of money on the table in your business.

Would like to begin increasing your sales or revenues?

Are you wondering how you can grow your business to the next level?

If so, hiring a marketing consultant could be the answer to your business problems. Even if your business is running smoothly currently, there’s always room to better your business.

Examining your marketing yourself from the inside can’t always provide you with the information you need to achieve outstanding results like an outside marketing consultant can.

Website Design for Drastic Sales Increase & ROI

In a minute I’ll go over 5 proven steps to design a high performance, high conversion website. I’ll include the areas & questions you need to cover when creating a website that will drastically increases your sales.

But first… there are a few things I feel I need to say. Simply because as a business owner, you need to know what’s up. You may already, but if not, this info is crucial to your business. Even if you do know these things, I think you may glean more insight. Here goes…

If you’re a business owner that doesn’t have a website today, your business is in serious trouble.

Why? 2 reasons:

1. Because everyone expects any successful business to have a website. In fact, many prospective customers will refuse to do business with you if you don’t have a website because they worry that you may not be a legitimate business – believe it or not.

2. The days of people using yellow pages & phone books to find you is nearing it’s end. People are searching the internet either from home computers, or with their mobile phone while on the road more than ever. They simply type in a specific search like: “lawyer in Boise”, “Carpet cleaner in Boise”, “Realtor in Boise”, “Dentist in Boise”, “Churches in Boise”, etc.

If you don’t have a website that comes up (on the first page & one of the top listings)… your losing a huge number of sales being generated in most industry “niches” today.

Your prospective customers are searching for you online big time… Where are you?

For today’s consumer, it’s all about convenience, saving time, researching benefits, finding the best deals & values available. They are looking for reasons to buy from you -vs- others. They are successfully finding their products & services online. This trend will continue and increase.

Even if you do have a website for your business, your site may have problems attracting prospects and converting customers if it’s poorly designed or doesn’t function well. With a high performance website redesign, you could see drastic sales increases.

The fact is, having a website with optimized design & SEO could be the difference whether your business succeeds in todays economy or not. Pretty radical statement… but it’s true. I guarantee you will have a competitor that realizes this if you don’t already.

Now, Designing The Perfect Website

The hard part about designing your own website is getting caught up in the actual artwork and visuals. While they are definitely important, the real goal of your website is not to look pretty — it’s to convert prospects into customers or get your visitors to want to do the action you desire. This is called a conversion.

There has been extensive testing & results gathered on ways to optimize a website & specific landing pages for maximum conversions. Proven practices & strategies that improve results 10-1000%. Way to many to list here and, many strategies vary depending on what type of website is being created and the goal of the website or page.

When I’m working with clients, I take five different areas into consideration when creating a high conversion website:

1. Goal – What is the goal (or goals) of the website? Are you looking for quick sales? Do you want to attract leads? Whatever the goal is, it should be clear immediately upon visiting your website. For example, if your goal is capturing leads, then you need to have your free offer and opt in form front and center as soon as people click to visit your website. If it is sales, we’ll examine your sales message, offers & check out process for optimal results. I offer advanced, proven strategies to help my clients accomplish their targeted goals.

2. Design – Focus your design on your target audience. For example, if you’re marketing to college students, you’re going to need a totally different design and content, than if you’re marketing to senior citizens. Always match the design to your target audience. I also help increase your website sales or opt in conversions through advanced direct response techniques, creating authority, good content, calls to action and implementing proven viewing & reading paths.

3. SEO Freindly & Initial (Search Engine Optimization) – Having an awesome website design won’t help a bit if your website does not come up for relevant searches! We choose SEO friendly themes & templates. Then, we do keyword & phrase research and define the highest traffic terms & target them right off the bat on all designs. This includes setting up the initial onsite SEO, tags, links & content. Although this will not guarantee you initial front page listings, it will build the foundation. I’ve had clients come to me with sites they’ve spent all kinds of money (elsewhere) on SEO unsuccessfully… only to find out the design was stopping them.

4. Contact – If you seem unopen to contact, you’ll have a hard time making sales. Put an offer on every page of your website and include your contact information on every page, even if you only include it at the very bottom. Add your social media links (not at the top though!), include a link to your podcast or YouTube videos, add a contact form, so prospects and customers can contact you right from your website. The more open you seem to interaction with prospects and customers, the more prospects and customers you’ll have.

5. Tracking – You must build tracking and analytics into your website code or you’ll end up leaving a whole lot of money on the table at the end of the day. With tracking, you can learn important things like when exactly during the checkout process people change their minds about making a purchase. How long people stay on your website. The most popular website pages people visit. These are all important to the success of your website.

When you follow the steps above & nail down these areas, you will have a website that drastically increases sales!

SEO for Drastic Sales Increases

Search engine optimization (SEO)… one of the online raves today. And, rightly so because a properly executed SEO plan for your web presence will bring in drastic traffic, revenue & profit increases. Whether you are a global, national or small local service company, you can profit greatly from good SEO.  As I speak to prospective clients though, I find that in many cases they do not know what SEO is.  So…. let’s clarify that first.

Understanding SEO – What is It?

Simply put, SEO is positioning your web presence (website, blog, sales page, web based business) directly in front of the people searching for it on the search engines (Google, Bing & Yahoo mainly)… and in as top position as possible.  Then, your “ad” optimized to draw that highly targeted traffic to your site/offer.

Example: If you are a dentist in Boise and someone Googles “Boise Dentists”, you would profit greatly by being one of the top 3 dentists shown on that search page. Especially if your “ads” & site were optimized for high response. How much would you profit? I’ve seen traffic & sales increases of over 1000%… SEO is an incredible return on investment, if done properly.

How Do You Get These Top Positions?

Well… first let me state this: Many SEO companies will tell you they have a “package” that will get you there. But the truth is, without properly defining your goals, conducting research & proper planning, and using honest, accepted SEO techniques, your results will be short term (if any). Some SEO techniques used today will get quick results but then get you banned form long term future placement. In many cases your money could be wasted or the costs quoted very misleading. Most people do not understand SEO so they are a good target for SEO companies that really do not provide much value (kind of like sending my lovely wife to a mechanic with car trouble).

There are so many points to consider in an effective SEO strategy. To get top positions (and also maximize sales conversions when you are there) you need an SEO marketing expert & SEO services plan you can trust. Even though this process may sound overwhelming, it’s really not. All is done in planned steps.

Points to Consider When Planning a “Drastic Sales Increasing” SEO Campaign

Here are just a few important items to cover in initial planning:

Define your goals- Are you targeting local, national or international exposure? Do you want to increase sales of a specific item or items? Are you looking to build an “opt in” data base (list) of potential customers? Do you want instant traffic & sales during the natural SEO process? What is your budget? The answers to questions like this will help define many aspects of the SEO set up, strategies & campaign.

Research items- What are the top “converting” keywords related to what you are selling? How much traffic could you expect from optimization? How strong is the competition for them? Who is your competition online? What will it take to beat them in position? In unique selling point? What SEO strategy will give you the biggest bang for the buck to start with? Is your website SEO friendly? Is your website or landing page converting relevant visitors to sales. If not, why not?

These are just some of the questions that need to be answered to execute a highly profitable SEO campaign. If you do not know the answers, that’s ok. I can help you get them. And, I can also help you set up a high profit SEO campaign no matter what your goals or budget. There’s no reason to get overwhelmed.

An SEO Campaign that Drastically Increases Your Sales May be Simpler Than You Think…

You may be at the 10 yard line ready to make a touch down… and simply just need to get started with acquiring the targeted traffic a good SEO campaign can deliver. Or, you may be wondering where to begin & what it takes to get rolling. Either way, the best place to start is to get an assessment and advice you can trust.

Boise Google Adwords & PPC Management

Implementing Google Adwords, Bing, Yahoo or Facebook PPC can instantly increase your website traffic with highly targeted visitors.

Not only is pay per click marketing an excellent way to attract instant traffic to your website, it’s also ideal for tracking and split testing different offers you make on your website. This gives you the power to adjust your pages & marketing campaigns for success.

Even if you are getting good natural traffic to your website, you can still increase your sales & profits by implementing Google Adwords (especially) & PPC campaigns.

Creating Your PPC Campaign

Many business owners avoid pay per click marketing simply because they’ve either been burned in the past by paying a lot of money for little results, or they just don’t know how to create a profitable pay per click campaign.

Whether you’re a business owner brand new to pay per click, you’ve had little success with pay per click, or are just seeking someone to take over management of your pay per click marketing campaigns, I’d like to help you do it right.

I’ve seen revenue increases of over 600% just by implementing pay per click marketing and, I’ve personally spent over $100,000 on PPC (mainly Google Adwords)… profitably.

Bottom line: when PPC marketing is set up right, it is profitable. Highly profitable.

Another bottom line: If you are not using Google Adwords -or- you are managing your own Adwords or PPC campaigns… you are probably leaving a lot of money on the table.

Winning Pay Per Click Campaigns

Profitable PPC campaigns all come down to four important factors:

  1. Proper Account Structure & Set Up – Your Adwords & PPC accounts should be set up following the 80/20 rule. This enables you to see your most profitable terms & ads and focus on them. This brings in the highest profits and also gives you the needed information to optimize your website & pages even further for SEO.
  2. The Right Keywords – If you target broad keywords like ‘pencils’ in your pay per click marketing campaigns, it’s no wonder you aren’t achieving any results. The right keywords matter because it makes all the difference in attracting the right prospects to your website. We will complete detailed keyword and competition research to insure you get the right visitors. Prospects that want to buy your product or service. On Facebook… targeting even gets trickier.
  3. Quality Matters – Few business owners know this, but Google actually gives each pay per click ad and account holder a Google Quality Score. This is important because the better your score is, the less you will pay per click. You could be paying too much for clicks right now simply because you have a low Google Quality Score.
  4. Conversion Tracking & Testing – You’ll never create a profitable pay per click marketing campaign unless you make tracking and testing a priority. You need to know which of your ads convert and which ads don’t, or else you’ll empty your bank account instead of making a huge profit.

You Can Succeed With PPC

With proper Google Adwords & PPC Management, you’ll have instant online ads & extremely targeted traffic to increase your website sales and opt ins immediately. Your PPC costs will not be costs, but investments.

Question: If you could put $1 in a machine & know every time you pulled the handle you’d get $3, would you do it? The key is proper set up & management.

Get a Free PPC Marketing Evaluation, Free PPC Advice & Your Questions Answered:

If you’re ready to learn more about pay per click marketing (PPC), you’re ready to implement your first campaign, or you need someone to help manage your existing PPC efforts profitably, I would like to offer you a free 30 minute PPC meeting.

If you are currently running Adwords or other PPC campaigns, I will give you a free PPC optimization evaluation to increase your sales & lower your PPC costs. If I feel we cannot help you see the significant gains you are looking for, I will tell you.

*There will be no pressure sales or obligation. However, I do not accept all new Adwords & PPC management clients or projects. An initial meeting will help us both see if we are a “good fit.”

During our meeting, we can discuss your PPC concerns and questions. I’ll also give you an initial evaluation of what PPC marketing can possibly do for your business. Not all businesses will benefit from Adwords or other PPC… but most will. If I do not truly see where you can increase your sales & profits with PPC, I will tell you.

What is The Most Important Part of SEO?

Ask 10 different SEO experts what the most important part of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is and you’ll likely get several different answers and reasons. All components of SEO are important and have to be addressed to achieve a successful SEO campaign. However, there is truly one part that stands above all…

Hands Down… Relevant, Quality Content is the King.

Here are some specifics and the top 3 reasons why:

1. All other parts of successful SEO rely on your content.

You can have great site structure, tagging, site map generator, load time, etc. (I’ll cover back linking below). But, none of these parts do any good if  your site content is not relevant & of good quality. I’ve personally seen web pages and sites climb substantially (to front page listings) in specific keyword placement just by having quality content.

Not just any content… but relevant, quality content. What do I mean ?

Relevant Content
Your content must be relevant to exactly what the searcher typed in the search box. This is Google and all the search engines goal. To provide the most relevant, up to date & best results for searchers. If your content is not researched and optimized for specific keywords being searched, the search engines will not bring your site or page up under those terms. The reader needs to also realize an immediate relevancy to the term searched when landing on your page. Google also wants the most recent, relevant content. This is why strategically planning frequent content updates & blog posts on specific keyword targeted topics is crucial.

Quality Content
Content that is original, valuable & shareable. Very important. Is your content original & interesting? Does it give value to the reader? Is it something people will want to share? Make sure it is all 3 of these…  Many SEO companies use “content farms” to create content for their clients. Basically what you get for content is boring chatter with keywords placed within. This practice is frowned upon by the search engines. I also frown upon that practice and will not allow it in our SEO services.

2. When your content is good, back links come more easily & naturally. Your site is ranked higher…

Google places weight in their search engine algorithms on how many other sites are linked to your website (not how many you are linked to). The more relevant inbound links you have, the more important Google views your site and thus, increasing your site position.   People like to link to sites that offer value to their own readership. If your content is original, relevant, valuable & shareable… you will get backlinks much easier and further increase your site position.

3. Googles new “Panda” is looking for low quality content.

Google implemented their new Panda Technology tm algorithm system earlier this year. Among many other things, it specifically looks for low quality content. They are also watching visitor interaction with websites (bad content, visitor leaves quickly, Google knows).

According to the Google Blog post that Amit Singhal and Matt Cutts published on February 24:

“This update is designed to reduce rankings for low-quality sites—sites which are low-value add for users, copy content from other websites or sites that are just not very useful. At the same time, it will provide better rankings for high-quality sites—sites with original content and information such as research, in-depth reports, thoughtful analysis and so on.”

When they find low quality content (and they will), Google will penalize your site by dropping it from placement.

There is a lot that needs to go into creating quality content… and a winning SEO campaign.

Here are just a few items that need to be addressed:

Proper keyword research & targeting. Quality content writing. Onsite SEO (meta tag set up, xml site map, etc.). Offsite SEO (article writing, back linking campaign, etc.). Landing page optimization for increased sales conversions. Creating compelling offers. Competition research…

All of these items need to be planned and executed properly to achieve maximum traffic & sales conversion increase and not get in trouble with Google. Do not be overwhelmed! Your SEO campaign can be done in steps… one bite at a time. It takes time.

With help you can trust, your SEO campaign will more than pay for itself in revenue and profit increase.

A properly planned & executed SEO campaign will increase your profits drastically. I have worked with companies that have experienced 600% gains in sales or more. There are a ton of “SEO experts” out there promising to get you #1 positions. Honestly, most will get you in trouble or end up costing a bunch of money without giving you quality, long term results. Beware of those promising #1 positions.

Boise SEO Expert

CAUTION: Don’t Hire Any “SEO Expert ” Until You Read This…

SEO ExpertsRecently, I was speaking to a prospective client who had been working to increase his sales online. Eventually, our conversation came around to Search Engine Optimization (SEO). He was truly frustrated with finding trustworthy SEO experts. He had recently hired a SEO consultant who promised to put his site at the top of the search engines.

Within a few weeks the newly hired “SEO Expert” managed to get my prospective client’s site banned from the major indexes by using “black hat” SEO practices. This caused him to lose nearly all of the traffic & sales he had. He’d also paid this expert a lot of money… Continue reading
